On December 4th, Beijing Time, the Homecoming Delegation of the New Power Entrepreneurs Association of Canada set foot in Shanghai, one of the most economically advanced and vibrant areas in China.

Upon arrival, the delegation wasted no time and drove straight to the Lingang Group Songjiang Science and Technology City, officially kicking off this significant and tightly scheduled visit. One of the major highlights of this Shanghai trip was the official establishment of the New Power Entrepreneurs Association’s Shanghai Representative Office in this economic hub. This momentous event marks a solid step forward in deepening Sino-Canadian economic and trade cooperation, as well as promoting exchanges between entrepreneurs of both countries. The delegation was also invited to visit the G60 Sci-Tech Innovation Corridor, where they experienced firsthand the unique charm of this technology innovation hub.

◾ Lingang Science and Technology City Enterprise Talks: New Opportunities for Sino-Canadian Enterprise Cooperation


Subsequently, the delegation held talks with relevant personnel from Lingang Science and Technology City at the G60 Sci-Tech Innovation Corridor reception hall. Xue Youtian, General Manager of Lingang Songjiang Science and Technology City Investment Development Co., Ltd., personally introduced the delegation to the development history, strategic tasks, park layout, and achievements of Lingang Group. He stated that the Songjiang Park currently hosts over 3,500 enterprises, including 420 high-tech enterprises, with a total investment of 16.8 billion yuan. The service scope covers the globe, steadily expanding overseas. General Manager Xue also provided an in-depth explanation of the industrial development and service system of Lingang Songjiang Science and Technology City, with a particular emphasis on the park's significant achievements in high-end medical devices, industrial internet, fashion consumption, and intelligent manufacturing.



After listening to General Manager Xue's introduction, James Wang, founder of the New Power Entrepreneurs Association, mentioned that the biggest gain from this visit was the realization of information exchange, resource integration, and sharing.
James Wang emphasized that the association is always committed to helping small and medium-sized enterprises expand their development space. In addition, he pointed out that Central and South America, with El Salvador as the development center, will also be a key development direction for the association in the future. He hopes to explore new development opportunities through in-depth cooperation with Lingang Group and the enterprises within the park, achieving mutual benefit and win-win results.




In the subsequent exchange session, both parties engaged in an in-depth discussion on core topics such as information sharing, resource integration, and complementary advantages. The delegation also visited the representative enterprise GEE Wanshida Technology within the park. They showed great interest in its innovative product concepts, business model, and flexible service model. They believe that prefabricated space modules have broad development prospects overseas as well.

Amidst a tightly scheduled and orderly itinerary, the delegation reached an important milestone—the inauguration of the New Power Entrepreneurs Association of Canada's Shanghai Representative Office at Shanghai Tuoying Law Firm. Charlie Cheng will serve as the head of this office. Leveraging their dual qualification to practice law in both China and the United States, the lawyers at Tuoying Law Firm will provide the association with professional legal consultancy and support for transnational business affairs.


The establishment of this representative office not only marks a crucial step for the association in deepening its market presence in China but also creates a more convenient and efficient platform for exchanges and cooperation between entrepreneurs from both Canada and China. This lays a solid foundation for future in-depth collaboration between the two sides.

◼Exploring the Global Hub of Automotive Innovation in Pinghu, Zhejiang

The Yangtze River Delta region has a wide distribution of automobile manufacturers, and Pinghu, with its unique geographical location and industrial advantages, has attracted many of the world's top 100 automotive parts enterprises to settle here. Among them, the Great Wall Motors Pinghu R&D Center stands out with its strong R&D capabilities and talent pool, serving as a crucial support for Pinghu's automotive parts manufacturing base. This center can accommodate over 5,000 senior talents, with an annual R&D expenditure exceeding 1 billion yuan, continuously injecting innovative power into Pinghu's automotive parts industry.


At the automotive parts manufacturing base in the Pinghu Economic Development Zone, the delegation gained a detailed understanding of the industrial advantages and development status in various fields, including power systems, drive systems, transmission systems, braking systems, steering assistance systems & body stability, intelligent connectivity, electronics and electrical, materials, and body components.
Additionally, they witnessed Pinghu's significant achievements in establishing a global hub for new energy electric drive industry, including forming an annual production capacity of 3 million electric drives, which accounts for 20% of the national market and 10% of the global market.
